Return and Refund Policy

At Renewed Plants (“Renewed Plants,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), we are committed to providing quality plants, home goods, and curated items to our customers in North Carolina and beyond. This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made through our online channels. By completing a purchase with Renewed Plants, you agree to the terms set forth below.


1. Live Plants – All Sales Final

Due to the delicate and perishable nature of live plants, all sales of plants are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on live plants. Renewed Plants is not responsible for damage resulting from improper care, weather exposure, delays in planting, or environmental conditions after delivery.​ For shipped orders, “arrival” is defined as the date and time marked as delivered by the shipping carrier. If a plant arrives damaged or appears unhealthy at the time of delivery, you must contact us within forty‑eight (48) hours of delivery with clear, unedited photos of the plant, the packaging, and your order information. Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for review, store credit, or any form of remedy.


2. Non‑Plant Items (Merchandise & Supplies)

Non‑plant items such as pots, tools, apparel, books, or accessories may be eligible for return, subject to the conditions below.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Item must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition.
     
  • Item must be returned with all original packaging, tags, and accessories.
     
  • Item must be returned within fourteen (14) days of the delivery date.
     
  • Original receipt, order confirmation, or proof of purchase is required.
     

Non‑returnable items include, but are not limited to:

  • Sale or clearance items.
     
  • Gift cards.
     
  • Custom, personalized, or made‑to‑order items.
     
  • Items marked “final sale” at the time of purchase.
     

Items returned without original packaging, in used condition, or outside the stated time frame may be refused or may be eligible only for a partial refund or store credit, at our sole discretion. ​


3. How to Start a Return (Non‑Plant Items Only)

To request a return for an eligible non‑plant item, please email us at renewedplants@gmail.com and include:

  • Your full name.
     
  • Order number.
     
  • Item(s) you wish to return.
     
  • Reason for the return and any relevant photos (for damaged or incorrect items).
     

If your request is approved, we will provide return instructions and the appropriate return address. Items returned without prior authorization may be refused and returned to the sender at the sender’s expense.


4. Refunds

Once a returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you by email whether your refund has been approved or declined. If approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment only.
     
  • Refund processing times may vary by payment provider but typically take between five (5) and ten (10) business days from the date of approval.
     
  • Original shipping costs are non‑refundable.
     

In certain circumstances, only partial refunds may be granted. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Items showing signs of use, wear, or damage not due to our error.
     
  • Items missing original packaging or components.
     

If a return does not meet this policy’s requirements, the item may be sent back to you at your expense, or no refund may be issued.


5. Exchanges

Exchanges are only available for non‑plant items that are defective, damaged upon arrival, or incorrect due to our error.

To request an exchange, you must contact us at renewedplants@gmail.com within forty‑eight (48) hours of delivery with your order number, photos of the issue, and a description of the problem. If the requested item is no longer available, we may offer a comparable replacement, store credit, or a refund at our discretion.


6. Shipping and Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs for non‑plant returns, unless the item arrived defective, damaged, or incorrect due to our error. We strongly recommend:

  • Using a trackable shipping service.
     
  • Purchasing shipping insurance for higher‑value items.
     
  • Packaging items securely to prevent damage in transit.
     

Renewed Plants is not responsible for returned items that are lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, or for items returned without tracking information or adequate packaging. Shipping fees (original or return) are non‑refundable, except where required by applicable law.


7. Local Pickup 

For online orders collected via local pickup in North Carolina (where available):


  • Items must be inspected at the time of pickup.
     
  • Once an order is collected and leaves our possession, it is considered accepted in its current condition.
     
  • No refunds or returns are available after pickup unless the item is defective or incorrect due to our error, and you notify us within forty‑eight (48) hours of pickup with photos and order details.

8. Policy Changes

Renewed Plants reserves the right to update or modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will apply to purchases made after the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page.
